Two sparklers sputtered to life on the side of the canal, small tongues of flame flickering out from the sticks and dissipating in the night air. Smoke from the flame languished in the air around Danielle and Alex’s heads. These were the last of the sparklers from their wedding reception. They burned them as they waited for their gondola to pick them up on the canal, and as they watched them dwindle they turned into each other and shared a kiss.

Steve and I had so much fun capturing Danielle and Alex’s wedding. The canal is beautiful in the summer, and we love having the opportunity to capture brides and grooms in that area. Danielle’s kindness and inclusiveness made me feel like I had known her for much longer than I had. Danielle and Alex were such a lovely couple and so passionately in love. We’re so thankful that we were able to capture their wedding day.
