Lisanne and Jay seemed to glide, arm in arm, into the venerable library at the Inn at Irwin Gardens. They sat on an antique loveseat, next to a wall of lanky windows that afforded a lovely view of the charming gardens outside. Before I had a chance to pose them, Lisanne leaned over and whispered into Jay’s ear. A soft smile broke across his face and lifted the spirits of the weary furniture in the room. I was fortunate enough to capture this innocent moment, and many more like it throughout the day of their wedding.

Their wedding was filled with humble moments of reverential love, set against the backdrop of the ever-captivating Inn at Irwin Gardens in downtown Columbus, Indiana. Lisanne is German, and many of the guests (including her family) traveled from Germany just to be at the wedding. Throughout the day we had eight guests approach us to tell us how much they loved Lisanne and Jay, and to tell us just how much the two meant to them. It was such a sweet wedding, filled with guests that felt like family, whether they were related by blood or the bond of deep, ever-lasting friendship. We are so glad we were able to experience it all.
