Alley Cat Lounge | Engagement Session | Danielle & Steve

FILED IN: Engagements

The wind was blowing cold air through Broad Ripple on an overcast day in mid-January. Taking shelter from the cold weather,  Danielle and Steve sat on the floor of the Alley Cat Lounge. With their backs against the uneven stone wall and their arms interlocked, they looked deep into each others eyes. As they gazed at one another, smiles sparkled across their faces because they were smitten with each other.

I just love that innocent and endearing love of engaged couples. I had so much fun capturing Danielle and Steve’s engagement session. We captured the session in and around the Alley Cat Lounge, but mostly we stayed inside because it was so cold on the day of the shoot. We braved the cold for about ten minutes, but then had to return inside. I loved shooting inside though because the Alley Cat Lounge is such a beautiful place with lots of gorgeous window light. The Alley Cat Lounge is owned and operated by Danielle’s family, which is great because it meant Danielle and Steve felt comfortable and at ease throughout the entire shoot. I just love when couples feel at home and confident in their surroundings. My husband, Steve, and I cannot wait to capture their wedding this fall.
