Columbia Club | Indiana State House | Leah & Jay Wedding

FILED IN: Weddings

Light was filtering through the  skylight of on of Indiana State House’s atriums. Outside the sky was overcast and the clouds provided a slight drizzle. This gave the skylight a muted, soft glow instead of a brilliant dazzle like it would typically have midday. On the fourth story of the Indiana State House, standing on a balcony next to the skylight, Leah and Jay were brilliant and dazzling as they held hands on their wedding day. The elegant setting of the statehouse perfectly matched their refined, classic style. No matter the weather outside, it was a beautiful day.

Steve and I had so much fun capturing Leah and Jay’s wedding day. We love shooting inside the Indiana State House, so when Leah said she could get us in the building for portraits we jumped at the opportunity. Leah, Jay, and their wedding party were so much fun to be around all day. We especially loved when they went to the Red Key Tavern for a few shots (just photos, no hard liquor) between their wedding at First Baptist Church of Indianapolis and their reception at the Columbia Club. The dark, and moody, setting of the Red Key Tavern made for some great pictures. That place has so much enchanting history. It was a great day and we wish Leah and Jay nothing but the best as they start their married life together.
