Skyline Club Wedding | Indianapolis Photographers | Megan & Bill

FILED IN: Weddings

Sitting on the broad limestone steps of the Soldiers’ and Sailors’ Monument in Indianapolis, Megan leaned into her groom, Bill, and rested her head gently on his shoulder. In a few hours Monument Circle would be crawling with happy party goers, dressed in costume for Halloween, but at this moment it was calm and unpopulated. The bridal party was waiting on the other side of the circle to head to the Skyline Club, but they could wait while this sweet moment unraveled, far from the St. Elizabeth Seton Catholic Church where Bill and Megan had been married a few hours earlier.

Bill and Megan’s wedding was a lot of fun. Steve and I had a lot of capturing their wedding on Halloween this year. Between the ceremony and the reception we were able to head to the Indiana State Museum to capture a few photos with the bridal party, and then we headed over to the Chatterbox Jazz Club so the bride and groom, and the bridal party, could have a beer and relax a little bit. The Skyline Club where Bill and Megan held their reception is located in such a great building. OneAmerica Tower, in which the Skyline Club is located, was built in 1982 out of Indiana limestone. It is the second tallest building in Indianapolis and provides a spectacular view of Monument Circle, where one of the buildings lit its windows to spell out “BOO” and to show a pumpkin for Halloween. It was magical night, and we are so glad that we were able to spend Halloween capturing such a lovely wedding.
