Canal 337 Downtown Indy | Wedding Video | Rachel and Jake

FILED IN: Weddings

White, billowy clouds spotted the sky in downtown Indianapolis. On a balcony of Canal 337, Rachel and Jake stood next to the railing overlooking the canal below. They had just finished their revealing, seeing each other for the first time on their wedding day, and were taking moment to collect themselves before moving into photos. As they stood there talking to each other, they slowly wrapped their arms around one another and kissed.

Jenn and I had so much fun capturing Rachel and Jake’s wedding. This was one of those awesome weddings where Jenn does photos while I get to do video. The moment I described above is the thumbnail for the video directly below. Rachel and Jake were having a moment alone on the balcony, and I decided to try to do a shot of them talking. I didn’t tell them I was recording, and they didn’t see me while I was shooting, but somehow at just the right time in my movement they kissed. It was the kind of magical moment that prompted me to immediately announce to my wife and my second shooter (Steve Weir), that I had just captured the best wedding shot ever in my life. I was pretty excited to capture such a lovely candid moment. The whole day was full of enchanting moments like this. It was a blast to capture this wonderful wedding.

If you liked that short clip of the toast that was a Fresh Prince of Bel-Air Theme Song Parody, then you might want to watch the whole thing. It is very well written and incredibly funny. Even without knowing the couple you’ll find yourself laughing throughout it.

Finally, here’s a much shorter version of the wedding day video. This one only clocks in around two minutes of magic.

We made several teasers in the lead up to this wedding. If you want to check them out, or any of our other video work, head on over to our YouTube page.

A big thanks to my excellent second shooter, Steve Weir, for helping me capture so many amazing moments throughout the wedding day! And also a big thanks to all of the vendors that helped make the day so memorable with all of their alluring details and fantastic services.
