As the sun descended toward the horizon, it refused to abate in intensity. The air felt thick with humidity, yet somehow Jamie and Cody were able to keep cool. Under the scraggly branches of a small tree, they gently held hands as the sun’s light worked its way through the trees branches to warm their backs.

I had such a great time capturing Jamie and Cody’s engagement session at Cool Creek Park. It was incredibly hot the day we were shooting, so Jamie and Cody took their dog, Duke, wading in the creek to cool off. I love it when a couple isn’t afraid to risk getting dirty during their photos. Steve and I are really looking forward to capturing their wedding this September!
