Columbus Indiana Backyard Wedding | Emily & Michael

FILED IN: Weddings

There are some weddings we shoot that make a positive lasting impression on us, and this is one of them.

Emily and Michael are an amazing couple. Although they have gone through quite a bit of hardship between their engagement shoot and their wedding, their sweet personalities did not change one bit. There were three moments I teared up. Emily’s mother informed me that Emily was in a bad accident in September. She was going for a run when a car ran a red light and hit her. Fortunately Emily was able to recover from the terrible accident, and on her wedding day Emily was able to run into Michael’s arms during their revealing. It was honestly one of the sweetest revealings I have ever seen.  Emily’s father, Matt, made sure to let everyone know how much Michael means to their family, which brought many guests to tears (and me to tears as well).

Their outdoor wedding was beautifully planned. After the guests parked, they entered the ceremony location by walking through a beautifully decorated barn. Streamers of daisies made for a beautiful backdrop as the couple said their “I do’s.” The new Mr. & Mrs. Clark were sent off with a balloon release.

Their reception was full of life and was kicked off with the bride, groom, and wedding party entering with a choreographed dance. Family and Friends enjoyed a buffet of food and desserts, that were delicious.

Although I was starting to physically feel how long I had been on my feet when this wedding came to an end, I was surprised by how fast it flew by. We were having such a good time we almost couldn’t believe we had been shooting for 10 hours.

It was an absolute privilege to capture their love story. I will never forget it.

My opinion is that pictures are always better with music. Start the slideshow. If you want to go at your own pace, just scroll through the images below. The blog has more images and details and the slideshow highlights the story.

Enjoy!
