Colts fans, April and Ryan, had a movie-like beginning. Picture a young girl planning a canoeing trip with her brother, last minute one of her brothers friends bails. The female lead’s brother opens his phone in search for an adventurous friend. A co-worker came to mind. She is overwhelmed with happiness in the fact that the trip is still on, making her feelings towards this co-worker a positive one. The arrival of the co-worker is a beautiful meet cute. He slowly walks up to the main character with a huge (almost goofy) smile on his face. He can’t let it fall. The female lead bashfully shakes his hand. The canoe trip turns into a “date-like” evening. The male lead offers to ride in her canoe with her. The other couple sees the sparks, even if the lead roles don’t, they decided to head off on their own, leaving them alone. The male and female lead talk non-stop, the chemistry is apparent. They paddle their canoes, lightly touching the calm water, into the sunset, into the rest of their lives together.
Haha. Okay, real life isn’t as dramatic and perfect as movies but all I could do was paint this picture when I heard the story.
April and Ryan are so sweet! We started the engagement shoot in downtown Indy. Our main goal was to head to the Lucas Oil Stadium, the home of the Colts, and take pictures along the way. We found some real gems. I love shooting in Indy. There are a smorgasbord of picture opportunities. I could honestly shoot for hours.
We had a lot of fun shooting this engagement and I can’t wait until their 2012 wedding!!
