Standing hand-in-hand at the crosswalk, Brittany and Chuck gazed into each other’s eyes while waiting for the light to change. They were across the street from the old Fountain Square Theater Building, heading toward Lady Spray. As they looked into each other’s eyes, Brittany lifted her chin, and with that motion her whole semblance seemed to rise up to meet Chuck’s gaze. They looked intently at each other, smiles on their faces, oblivious to me and my camera, and I was lucky enough to capture this special moment during our engagement session.
It is hard to imagine when looking at modern day Fountain Square that a century and a half ago it was mostly farmland. Now, one of six designated cultural districts in Indianapolis, Fountain Square lies just a little jaunt southeast of downtown Indy. The urban environment was the perfect setting for Brittany and Chuck’s engagement shoot. I love capturing couples in places that are so vibrant and full of life. It was a lot of fun working with Brittany and Chuck in beautiful Fountain Square this summer. Steve and I recently had the pleasure of capturing their wedding as well, and those photos will be up on the blog soon.
