Cardinal Hills | Sursa Performance Hall | Haley & Matt Muncie Wedding

FILED IN: Weddings

The only light in the ballroom was coming through a few open windows. The light from the setting sun was dim on this winter day. Matt stood in front of one of those windows, hands in his pockets, absorbing the last rays of light on his wedding day. Haley slid her arms under his, and hugged him close from behind. Enamored, he turned his head to look at her, a small smile turning up the corners of his mouth even before her saw her as he felt the warmth of her hug.

One of the things I loved about this wedding, that made it unique, was the first look. We had planned on shooting it at Sursa Performance Hall, but Haley was very anxious to see Matt. She did not want to wait. So we did the first look right in the hotel room. I am so glad they did this. What made this so special was Haley and Matt made this time their time. It was not about the photography. It was not about the convenience of their guests. It was about Haley and Matt needing to be with one another, as if they had already become one.

Steve and I are so incredibly excited for Haley and Matt! Their wedding night was such a great night. I felt like I had been waiting forever to see the two of them marry. I cannot be happier for Haley, and her husband Matt, as they start their married life together. It was such a joy to capture the whole event and to be able to witness it all!
