Jacqueline & Andrew Wedding at Regions Tower

FILED IN: Weddings

The last rays of light from the setting sun made their way through the buildings in downtown Indy as Jacqueline and Andrew were getting married on the rooftop terrace of Regions Tower. A strong and steady breeze ruffled Jacqueline’s hair and caused her veil to flutter. Meanwhile the light that was left reflected off the Market Square Center building, informally known as the “Gold Building”, and showered the happy couple and their guests in brilliant, warm light. Jacqueline and Andrew said I do in what was quite possibly the most beautiful conditions Steve and I have ever seen for a wedding. It was absolutely gorgeous.

Jacqueline & Andrew’s wedding was an experience no less than perfect. Jacqueline made sure her family was involved with the wedding. Her dress hung on the same hanger her mother’s dress hung on in 1984. After a tearful read of Andrews letter, she had a tearful first look with her father.

When Andrew saw her for the first time, his smile was larger than life. The look on his face was pure joy. After dating for ten years, they were starting a new chapter of their lives. Since Jacqueline and Andrew had known each other for nearly a decade, the celebration was more like a gigantic family reunion, no sides at the ceremony needed because it was like they were already one big family.

Since Indy has a very small skyline, being on the 5th floor of the regions tower was quite windy. We took advantage of this with portraits but the wind had an idea of its own. Jacqueline’s veil flew right off her head, out of a bridesmaids hands that was holding the end, and over the side of the Regions Tower. The wedding party, not knowing what to do in this situation, climbed near the edge to try to grab it. The wind took it up about 2 more stories, and it gradually fell down right into the bridesmaid’s hand, who was originally holding the end. It was an exciting moment.
