The Barn at Zionsville Wedding | Zionsville, IN | Julia and Dave

FILED IN: Weddings

As the sun was setting over the verdant fields surrounding the Barn at Zionsville, Julia leaned back into Dave, looking up over her shoulders and into his eyes. Dave held her in his powerful arms as the enjoyed the last rays of sunlight on their wedding day, their only company a light chestnut horse standing in the field behind them. It was a perfect moment, and it was a well deserved moment. Earlier in the day several yellow jackets had flown up Julia’s wedding dress and stung her, with one even flying out of her dress and stinging her face. Julia just said in a very calm tone of voice, “Something stung me.” She didn’t scream, yell, or run. She just walked away from the area at a steady pace. I was also stung, and I screamed out loud and sprinted away. I was incredibly impressed by how tough Julia was on her wedding day. She never once complained about being in pain. She was just worried that she might have a welt on her face in the pictures. She did not have a welt on her face, her whole body and continence seemed to resist the idea that an insect could ever ruin her wedding day. She walked with poise, beauty, and grace. It was a delightful evening, and I’m so glad Steve and I were able to witness it.
