String lights and chandeliers provided mood lighting as the guests took their seats at the Mavris. Then, from the stairwell, Maggie and Tyler entered the reception space to massive applause from their friends and family. Immediately after they entered the space, music swelled and they danced their first dance in the middle of the tables with all the friends and family. It was an amazing moment from this gorgeous Mavris reception!
You might notice as you scroll through the photos that this wedding blog post looks a little different than most of posts. There aren’t any photos of just Maggie and Tyler and there also aren’t any ceremony photos. That’s because Maggie and Tyler eloped during the pandemic and then had this wonderful reception to celebrate with family and friends afterward. This reception was amazing and had so many great details. Enjoy scrolling through and getting some great inspiration. My favorite part was the drinks Maggie and Tyler had specially made for the day. The drinks with melted popsicles in them looked delicious and maybe someday I’ll replicate it at home so I can try one.
A big thanks to all the vendors that made this day so wonderful!

Firstly, check out this amazing wedding with Katelyn and Jacob! Our associate photographer Hannah captured this wedding and she did an amazing job! This wedding also took place in the Mavris Arts and Event Center and has a similar look and feel to Maggie and Tyler’s event.
Also, check out this wonderful wedding with Carly and Jonathan! These two got ready at the Alexander Hotel in the morning before heading over to St. John the Evangelist for their ceremony. And where did they end up after that when they wanted to party with family and friends? If you guessed the Mavris Arts and Event Center, then you are correct.
Lastly, check out this charming wedding with Sierra and Clayton! These two had a morning wedding which meant that instead of doing dinner with their guests, they did brunch. And the brunch was amazing. And once again, this could also celebrated with their family and friends at the Mavris Arts and Event Center.
If you loved the photos in this post, or any of the posts linked above, then you might want to check out the Mavris Arts and Event Center. It is a brilliant space in downtown Indianapolis. It has that dark and moody feel inside that really does well with our style of off camera flash photography during the reception. We love this venue.
