Prairie Guest House Wedding | Fishers, IN | Elizabeth & Evan

FILED IN: Weddings

The scraggly branches of a deciduous tree, fleeced of its leaves by the mercurial autumn winds, reached down toward Evan and Elizabeth as they stood on the gentle grade of a small grass-covered knoll. Evan reached out toward his bride and took her hand into his own. She smiled at the pleasant pressure of his tender grip, and he moved his hand to her waist and pulled her close. Far from their guests in the Prairie Guest House, who were indulging in hors-d’ouevres and cocktails, they shared a tranquil kiss on the lawn in front of the old, white barn. Steve and I were so glad we were able to capture this moment and all the other lovely moments from Elizabeth and Evan’s wedding day.

Across the street from the Connor Prairie Interactive History Park, the Prairie Guest House sits on two beautiful acres of land in Fishers, Indiana. The guest house is over a century old and seems to have retained a cozy elegance that cannot be found in modern houses. Steve and I felt so fortunate to have been invited to capture such a charming wedding at this intimate location.
