Wabash Indiana Wedding | Taco Trucks & Cheesecake | Lydia & Evan

FILED IN: Weddings

I met Lydia and Evan through some mutual friends from college. They have been such an encouragement to us, so when they asked us to capture their wedding, we were ecstatic. I wanted nothing more than to give them the best wedding pictures humanely possible.

I’m so excited to have their beautiful faces on my blog today.

Their laid back personality, along with their passion for loving people, made this a very enjoyable wedding. I was so excited to see how absolutely stunning Lydia looked on her wedding day. Evan and Lydia’s wedding party seemed just as excited as they were to see the day come together. Nothing makes a celebration better than being surrounded by lots of love and support.

“I don’t think I’m going to cry today,” Lydia said, as she started to open her gifts from Evan. She was unaware of what a big impact his gifts would have on her. When they were dating, they always sat at a table at Modoc’s, a local coffee shop. Above that table was a picture of a circus performer. Evan bought the picture of that circus performer so that it could hang in their home. He also made a frame for the picture with the help of Lydia’s dad. Then there was the final gift, which almost brought tears to even my eyes. Before they were engaged, Evan bought a pearl necklace while abroad to give to his future wife. Lydia, who also traveled overseas before they were engaged, has always regretted not buying a pearl necklace when she was traveling. Before she opened any of the gifts she commented on how she wished she had thought to buy one. When she opened the box and read the letter, she said, “Okay, I might cry.” Tears filled her eyes, as well as many other eyes in the room, as she read Evan’s letter that accompanied the final gift.

Guests enjoyed a wide selection of desserts and a taco truck with one of the most delicious tacos that Steve and I have ever ate. The dance floor was packed and most of the guests stayed to see the happy couple make their exit for the evening, picnic basket in hand. We’re so glad we were able to see Lydia and Evan, smiling and laughing, as they drove away. What a pleasure it was to capture this wedding.

My opinion is that pictures are always better with music. Start the slideshow. If you want to go at your own pace, just scroll through the images below. The blog has more images and details and the slideshow highlights the story.

Enjoy!
