{Wedding: Rachel and CJ} Pretty in Pink (and Brown)

FILED IN: Weddings

Sweethearts (for 8 years!), Rachel and CJ got hitched on 10.29.11. I absolutely loved shooting their wedding. Their families were unbelievably friendly (It seems like every time I shoot a wedding up north I say this, northern hospitality?).  Rachel was gorgeous. The groom had a smile on his face almost the entire time. It’s hard to smile 12 hours straight, but I don’t think it was intentional. He just seemed so happy. The bride made sure she enjoyed her party. I hardly ever saw her off the dance floor.  BRIDES- You need to enjoy your party!! I know that will be something she never regrets.
There was a hale storm right before the wedding party pictures. I’ve never seen hale like that. I think the most it’s haled is during tornado season, there might be a few on the ground but it never looks like it’s snowing. Luckily everything cleared up and we took a few pictures outdoors.

Their cupcakes were to DIE for! They were so good. I talked to the baker. Right now, it’s just a mom and daughter baking for small events, nothing established yet, but with talent like that, I foresee a cupcake shop going up in the Shipshewana area.

It was a beautiful wedding, with beautiful people. We had a wonderful time!
