Deep in the woods of the Eagle Creek Park, Matlin and Caleb took a short break from their photo hike to rest on the weathered remains of a toppled tree. The trees surrounding the Eagle Creek Reservoir were blushing shades of red, orange, and yellow, but the trees surrounding the log on which they sat had already shed their verdant summer foliage leaving the ground satiated with crunchy leaves of varying shades of brown. It was cool this close to the waterfront, and Matlin leaned into Caleb for warmth, wrapping her hands around his arm and resting her head on his shoulder. Caleb smiled warmly as he sat there with his fiancée on such a beautiful afternoon.
I had so much fun shooting with Matlin and Caleb at Indianapolis’s largest park. This is quickly becoming one of my favorite locations in the Indy area to do shoots. The scenery in and around the reservoir is incredibly beautiful, and it is always easy to find secluded places to shoot. Working with great couples like Matlin and Caleb in such a beautiful place makes it even more enjoyable. Steve and I are very excited to be capturing their wedding next summer.
