I’m absolutely honored to be shooting this beautiful couples wedding.  They came with great ideas and totally brought it during the engagement shoot.  Emily and Chris have great energy and stuck it out through the abnormally hot weather and crazy wind.
I really enjoyed shooting, and it was so nice to be in 80 degree weather in April, well, for a while. I came home a hot mess.  I looked at myself after 2 hours of my hair blowing around and *hmm glowing… and I looked like a wreck.  So, after saying that, can you believe how wonderful Emily looked throughout all the pictures???  Jealous, totally jealous.

Emily and Chris have been dating for a while now.  They are so excited for their October wedding, where they can start their new journey together.

It all started with plan.  Chris wanted to surprise, Emily, but she is a hard person to surprise. The original plan was to propose at a place on a bike trail that they rode many times, but since it was in the middle of winter, the plan had to change.  Chris had help from her best friend picking out the ring (chosen by Emily), but the hard part was, how could he present it without her knowing it was going to happen?

Emily worked with preschoolers at a daycare in Muncie.  December 3rd, 2010 was a typical day at work until Emily was called into another room.  She became concerned because this wasn’t normal.  As she approached the room, she knew something wasn’t right because the door was locked.  She took a different route, only to find rose petals, balloons, and Chris on one knee in the middle of the room.

After the crying, and of course the “Yes”, they walked into the hallway.  The kids of the daycare were blowing bubbles.  Not fully understanding what was going on, one of the three year old girls shouted, “Happy Birthday Miss Emily!”  Absolutely adorable. Chris incorporated Emily’s love for kids and her love for him into a very special day.  Best of all, she didn’t see it coming.

Chris is very kind and gentle towards Emily, and Emily has a big heart.  They are one special couple and I just had a blast with them!
