Traders Point Creamery Engagement | Zionsville Wedding Photographer | Natalie & Blake

FILED IN: Engagements

Blake reached for Natalie’s hand as they walked through the grass. There was a soft smile on his face as he looked at her, but not at her hand. He caught her pinky, but that seemed to be more than enough. His smile widened as the walked, pinky in hand, with their backs to the setting sun, Natalie looking absolutely stunning with sun streaming through her hair. This was not the first time Natalie and Blake instinctively reached out for one another throughout our short engagement session at Traders Point Creamery. They were always holding hands while walking, and hugging while standing still. It was endearing.

When Steve and I arrived at Traders Point Creamery there was a thin layer of gray clouds hanging low over the tree tops. I checked the weather forecast, only to be disappointed. It was supposed to rain in Zionsville all throughout the engagement shoot. I prayed and asked that the rain hold off for another hour. The clouds did not look ominous. They were so thin that I could see the blue of the sky through them occasionally. This was beautiful, and promising. Thankfully, the rain held off throughout the shoot, even during the last few shots of Natalie and Blake enjoying some red wine in The Loft Restaurant at Traders Point Creamery. Then as Steve and I pulled away from the creamery (with some ice cream, because Steve could not resist it… and I could not either), it started to downpour. The timing was a bit magical, almost miraculous. It was a great night, and we are so happy we were able to capture some wonderful photos of Natalie and Blake.
