Forgive me. I shot this wedding a month before Iain and I’m just now posting it! They are a wonderful couple and deserve a post.
I love this couple. Chloe is one of the sweetest people I’ve ever met and Robert is just as sweet. They are wonderful together and it was SUCH an honor to be a part of her day.
Originally, I wasn’t going to take any weddings in December but I met with Chloe and just fell in LOVE with her! She is the type of person you feel wonderful after hanging out with. She makes you feel like you’ve known her forever. I had no doubt in my mind about shooting their wedding. It was worth the 25 extra lbs I’d be carrying being 36 weeks pregnant and the absolute exhaustion I had the day after. My feet had never hurt that bad – nor did I get out of bed the next day, but it was ABSOLUTELY worth shooting their wedding. I wanted to see them get hitched!
Chloe and Robert knew and liked each other in high school but the timing was never right. Both Chloe and Robert’s family were invited to a wedding. Robert was feeling ill so he stayed back. After seeing Robert’s family there without him, Chloe decided to call him up and convince him to come to the reception. They hit it off and the rest brings us to December 18th, their wedding day.
They had their ceremony and reception at the Valle Vista, a very beautiful golf course in Greenwood, IN. Chloe was brought by horse in carriage to the front of the aisle. The ceremony was tear filled and gorgeous Chloe didn’t stop smiling. The ceremony with just a flight of starts from the reception. The tables were decorated with lights and beautiful centerpieces. Each table had an red ornament with a white tag, their wedding colors.
The whole experience is something I’ll never forget. Chloe and her mother both were constantly asking me “Do you need any water, do you need to sit down?” Which tells me a lot about their character. I had so much fun seeing their wedding party interact. I will never forget the what Roberts said right before he saw Chloe for the first time. I said, “Are you nervous?” and he replied, “A little. I’m just so excited to be marrying her,” with tears filling his eyes. I honestly cried when I saw them embrace and wipe each others’ tears.
I wish you the best, Allen family. You are so wonderful and hold a special place in my heart. Thank you SO much for letting me be a part of your day.
Chloe loves Penguins
The little guy in the middle is Robert’s godson
It’s such a small world. The girl on the left, Robert’s sister, was in med school with my sister-in-law.
Annnnnd, this is when I started crying. I’m so happy I was still able to capture the moment.
One of her adorable flower girls!
They incorporated a Mexican wedding tradition, a Lasso, which symbolizes their joining.
Chloe has a very funny dad!Can you believe that her mom and her made this cake?! Gorgeous.
Everyone was so emotional. It just shows how loved Chloe and Robert truly are!
Best wishes to you both!
