Lights were strung up on the balcony of the River Glen Country Club overlooking the golf course. The warm glow of their tungsten bulbs looked beautiful under the shadow of the overhang. Wendy stepped out of her reception and onto the long wood planks of the balcony. As she stood looking out at the rain soaked golf course, Deson approached from behind and put his hand comfortingly on her arm. His mouth seemed to be in stuck in a smile on their wedding day. She turned to look at him, smiling in kind. It was a perfect day.

Steve and I had a lot of fun capturing Wendy and Deson’s wedding. The morning was overcast and there was a forecast for rain all day. Thankfully though, the rain held off until after the send off after the ceremony. While we were moving our gear to our car, to so we could transition from the St. Elizabeth Seton Catholic Church to River Glen Country Club, the clouds let loose a downpour. Steve rushed to try to load up the car while I held two umbrellas over him and our gear, and somehow we both still ended up completely soaked (our cameras and lenses were safe though). The rain let up before the reception started, and the dissipating clouds mixed with the setting sun provided for a beautiful sunset. It was a magical ending to a wonderful wedding day. We are so thankful we were able to experience and capture Wendy and Deson’s wedding.
