Crisp autumn leaves lay on the ground, heralding the beginning of fall. The leaves crunched underfoot as Amber and Brandon walked hand in hand down a brick sidewalk. The train of her dress collected a few leaves as she walked, sweeping them along the bricks and through the small town of New Harmony. This New Harmony wedding was filled with so many beautiful moments just like this!
We had so much fun capturing this wedding. New Harmony is such a beautiful little town and the New Harmony Inn and Conference Center felt so welcoming. There were several other weddings in town the day of Amber and Brandon’s wedding, but we were still able to take some cool photos outside the Roofless Church and at a few different interesting locations in town. The town feels mostly preserved in the form it was 50 years ago. This meant that every where we went in town felt like we were walking through history. It was such a wonderful feeling.
One of my favorite parts of this wedding, was that Amber and Brandon came to New Harmony earlier to check the place out. While there, they went into a book shop and Amber saw an old book she liked (pretty certain it’s the Library of Wit and Humor by Mark Twain pictured below). So Brandon had to find a way to buy the book without her knowing so he could give it to her as a wedding gift. I just love when a couple really thinks about and cares for each other and pays attention to things like this for their wedding day. Also, Amber’s leather jacket (also pictured below) is really cool too (since I’m on the subject of things I loved at this wedding).
