The light of the sun crept down through the leaves of the deciduous trees at the Indianapolis Museum of Art. In a copse of trees, Alli and James stood backlit by the fading, silver light. James had one hand on Alli’s waist, his arm squeezing her close in a side hug. The other was down at her side, clutching her hand in his own. Wrapped up together in this pose, he leaned in to kiss her during their Newfields Engagement session.
I am so in love with these photos from the Newfields engagement session I did with Alli and James! It doesn’t hurt that we’re in the middle of this polar vortex in the midwest right now. These photos remind me a little bit of warmer times, when we could all go outside for a little bit. But enough about the weather.
This Place is Amazing!
I just love shooting at Newfields! I jump at every opportunity to capture couples at this location. There are so many unique and interesting locations on the grounds. Every portrait session I capture there has the potential to look incredible and different, and incredibly different. Plus the light from the setting sun as it filters down through the foliage is always fantastic! And the light at this Newfields engagement session was no exception.
