Steve had to rope Jenn in for another episode of his podcast, which is the best photography podcast out there. This time Steve and Jenn get a bit experimental. They record an entire episode on the way home from a wedding that they just shot. Steve was the primary shooter at the wedding and Jenn […]

Jenn had the crazy experience of once again being a guest on the most bizarre wedding photography podcast (but also the best photography podcast), the Wedding Photo Hangover. This is a comedy podcast and basically everything said on it is intended to be a joke… Though in my case not always a good one. Jenn’s […]

One thing we’ve been bad at sharing the past (hmmhmm…*cough*) 9 years is behind the scenes photos (we old). So recently, I went through tons of photos this holiday season and pulled out some of my favorites. As you peruse through the photos, you’ll get to see us age. You’ll also see my hair color […]

Revealing Having a revealing/first look is a new tradition that is emerging for brides and grooms on their wedding day.  A revealing is the moment a bride and groom see each other for the first time on their special day… but this isn’t during the ceremony.  Does it make you nervous? Last year I decided to have some fun with a Go Pro Hero 3 Black Edition. I took it with me while visiting my mom and shot some slow motion footage of my son swimming in my mom’s Hot Tub. I shot the whole thing in WVGA, which means I was able to shoot at 240 fps. It also means that I had to sacrifice in terms of resolution, and thus was only able to shoot at 480p (technically it was 848 x 480 but I had to downsize that to 720 x 480 while editing). It was an interesting project to say the least. When it comes to the nature of the low resolution of the video, for a video made to be viewed on an iPhone or iPad I think it looks great. On my Mac Pro, it’s really noticeable that it’s low resolution though.  Anyway, have a look at the video and see what you think for yourself.

While reading an article on Rock’n Roll Bride yesterday titled “What I wish I’d Known When I Started My Business,” I started to form my own list in my head. I decided to post some of it below. My Beginnings In 2009, in the midst of the economy collapsing around us, unemployment knocked me off […]

Since we didn’t shoot last week because we were on vacation, there is no wedding to post. Instead, I thought I’d post some of the behind the scene work Steve and I have done. I wish all of these pictures were of my handsome husband but he is usually the one taking the behind the […]
